Magicians around the world spawn thousands of awesome kids

SALT LAKE CITY, June 10, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Over the past 12+ months, the pandemic has forced millions of children out of their classrooms and in front of computer screens.

With reduced face-to-face interactions and a significant decrease in opportunities for normal socialization, the impact of distance learning on our young people is still unclear. Can it be cancelled? And if yes, how ?

Walk in Discover the magicthe one-of-a-kind children’s program taking the United States by storm.

“With the world slowly opening up and summer camp season upon us, now is the time to start reversing some of the effects of last year and giving our children the fun experiences and practical tools they need to become more confident and connected,” says the co-founder of Discover Magic Brian South“We are excited to continue our mission to provide social-emotional learning when children need it most.”

Social-Emotional Learning, or SEL, is a general term for the process by which children develop their emotional intelligence and forms the backbone of the Discover Magic curriculum. SEL teaches students to regulate their emotions, communicate with others, use compassion and empathy to understand the needs of others, build relationships, and make good decisions.

Studies show that students who participated in SEL programs even saw an 11 percentile increase in their overall grades and better attendance.

“At heart, we inherently instill empathy in children,” South continues. “Our methods get them to literally think about things from other people’s point of view; what their audience can or cannot see really affects the magic. Whereas a musician can play music and the listener can tune in and out and still enjoy some of it – a good magician, on the other hand, needs to keep their audience engaged from start to finish If the part where you show the empty hat is missing, the part where a bunny appears in the hat is not so spectacular.

Discover Magic’s emphasis on empathy doesn’t mean it skimps on the quality of magic, though.

In fact, Discover Magic is the largest magic program on the market, boasting a nationwide network of over 100 magic instructors, four comprehensive “wand classes”, one-day workshops and magic tricks. optional standalones, and unique, high-quality custom props, materials, and online resources you won’t find in ready-made magic kits.

While nailing the trick is of course a but, it’s not really the main goal.

Discover Magic is all about kids growing up through magic, not about turning kids into magicians, teaching kids to have fun. for other not fun of others, and believes kids need to be in person and focus on having fun (the good kind) and get back to doing what they do best – being big kids.

More happiness in our children and more empathy in our world. It’s exactly what the world needs, especially now, and it’s exactly why Discover Magic exists.
