BREAKING: EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival Beacons of Magic Show with ‘Colors of the Wind’ debuting tonight

Imagineer Zach Riddley has just announced that another festival-focused Beacons of Magic show will debut tonight for the International Flower and Garden Festival.
Riddley said, “Since October and the launch of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, Spaceship Earth has come alive like a ‘Beacon of Magic’ every night with new lighting, music and excitement unique to this park. As new festivals open, Imagineers has had fun creating new limited-time footage that ties into the spirit of each festival and the spirit of EPCOT in breathtaking and poetic moments never before possible on this great icon.

The show will feature “Colors of the Wind” from “Pocahontas.” It will also be the first time that Spaceship Earth will be lit in earth tones, according to the Imagineer.

The Beacons of Magic were created last fall as part of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary. At the end of the celebration, icons from the other three parks will no longer perform shows, but Spaceship Earth at EPCOT will retain its “spots of light.” It is unclear whether festivals will continue to have one-off shows after the celebration ends.
