Actor Jitendra Kumar, who plays the protagonist of the upcoming movie ‘Jaadugar’, said he had a month-long training to learn magic tricks and also hosted an online magic show for pass the magician test. The film revolves around a young man named Meenu, a football player and magician.
The actor, who plays the character of Meenu, shared how during the lockdown he learned magic tricks under the guidance of experts to pull off his act.
Kumar said, “I started training for magic tricks in November 2020 and it was quite a long and tedious journey that lasted about a month and a half. My trainer strongly advised me that until what I do a show, I wouldn’t pass. This was back when lockdown was still prevalent, so we did a virtual Zoom show.”
“I had meticulously set up the lights and props to make sure people would get tricked and I would pass, well it worked! I also tricked them with lots of music to hone my skills,” he said. -he shares.
“Following that, I had two more practice sessions and later I did a stage show with props, and also performed a street performance with a nearby band. I realized that when the audience is small – there is no light or music to help you and you have to trick people, which is more difficult because people can catch things,” he added.
“Jaadugar” is directed by Samir Saxena, produced by Posham Pa Pictures and Chalkboard Entertainment and also features Javed Jaaferi and Arushi Sharma, and it premieres July 15 on Netflix.
