So for more, we’re here with all the guys that make this show happen here at Magical Mystery Show.

But the first person we’d like to introduce to you is CEO and Founder Jonathan Todd.

I’m just really curious, what is your background and what was your intention in bringing this type of show here to Hawaii?

“COVID hit and everyone was devastated,” says Todd.

“Everything was down, and my friends got together and said it’s all over, what are we going to do? And how do we bring the joy back? And the response was unusual. The hotels were light. And when I looked what’s available to visitors, it didn’t resonate enough. So we looked at the story and said, you know what, King Kalakaua took this trip. He went around the world as the first reigning monarch, a Hawaiian, to do so and in the process he met Queen Victoria in the Victorian era and he influenced the Victorian era so this is the story of why which you sit in a Victorian drawing room with the best magicians in the world in the best hotels.

And speaking of the best magicians in the world, here we are with Nathan Coe Marsh.

Tell us a bit about what people can expect.

“It’s an opportunity for people to experience magic like never before,” says Marsh. “It’s not ground fog, it’s not lasers in your eyes, it’s not tight leather pants to distract you. It’s happening here, right now, right in front of you.

“On our website, the first thing you see on our website, it says, ‘Let there be light,'” says Vice President of Corporate Development Brian Lynx.

“To see the light not only of adults but also of young humans, keiki, is truly a delight for all of us. In fact, we tell our guests when they are here that, yes, we have done magic for you, but the reality is that you do magic for people you don’t even know, people you haven’t even met yet. And that’s the Shriners Children’s Hawaii. We have a very strong community and a bond with them. A portion of every ticket sale goes to the Shriners Hospital right here in Honolulu. We feel good about that.

The Magical Mystery Show takes place every day except Tuesday.

There will be two shows each night here at the Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel.

But in addition, free magic lessons for the community every evening except Tuesday and as many times as you wish.

It’s not just happening here on Oahu, but also on Maui at the Fairmont Kea Lani.
